ALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Democratic National Convention has officially ended, with Vice President Kamala Harris formally accepting her party's nomination as their presidential candidate.
Political Commentator Armstrong Williams was at the convention throughout it's duration, and joined Megan Gilliland on a Friday edition of Fox45 Morning News for a debrief in this week's Washington Wrap. Williams says that from his point of view, questions about Harris' policies and platform were not answered.
"In fact, as I was [at the DNC on Thursday] listening to the speakers... you would think that Donald Trump has been president for the last four years," Williams said. "It was not a convention of hope and coming together, it was a convention that loathed Trump and raged against Trump. Their only platform is that they are running against Trump."
Williams believes that, because of a lack of answers about her policies, that pressure might mount on the Harris campaign to make them clear in a head-to-head encounter with former president Trump.
"[Harris] got a [bump in support] early on when Trump was undisciplined," Williams said. "[The race] is getting razor this, and so she is going to be forced, not only to do one debate, but more debates if she has any kind of chance of winning this election. She has to talk about policies because she has to put meat on that bone."
